AJOTO at London Design Week 2015

During London Design Festival we showcased at the renowned Designjunction event in Victoria House, Holborn. With visitors queuing round the block, DesignJunciton welcomed a record-breaking number of visitors over the five days, resulting in the most successful show to date.

Sitting in a wonderful setting amongst some great design brands and shops, we proudly presented our new launch collection to the public, press, and buyers.

At AJOTO we truly believe that is important to celebrate the soul and craft that goes into making each and every tool we create, and therefore wanted to reflect this in our stand design. We created an informative display for our visitors, exhibiting the materials and processes behind each tool, from the foil blocked packaging to the precision machining of solid brass bars. This display proved to be a great success, with visitors expressing their delight on the honestly and educational content.

In contrast to our museum like exhibition, we created a section that reflected our studio in Manchester. Here visitors could come by and have chat, learning the story of AJOTO and the hidden details within the tools.  The range of Pens were all available for visitors to test, with people making scribbles, doodles, and even some works of art, all to be featured on our ‘Make Your Mark wall’.  Everyone from all ages got involved, with several youngsters showing the rest of the visitors up with their masterpieces of trains, minions and finding Nemos. After four busy days of pens touching paper, it was hard to reach any further up the wall, so help had to be called in from our taller DesignJunction neighbours to reach the top.

DesignJunction was an extremely enjoyable experience and we received a reception that truly surpassed any of our expectations, so thank you to everyone that came down and took to time to come by our stand. It was great meeting you all. In the next year we will be involved in some exciting events so keep your eyes peeled for updates.
