If you're looking to get lost and discover unique and beautiful spaces that surprise you, we totally recommend the Strijp-S area. It was previously home of the electronics company Philips but in recent years the old factory buildings have become a destination for pioneering business, designers and creatives. Like The Vershal Het Veem, a market with a big variety of food produced in a sustainable way.

During our journey to Eindhoven we had the opportunity to do a tour around the workshop of Piet Hein Eek and see the process of creation behind his work. Piet Hein Eek is one of the most recognised Dutch designers and produces all of his trademark pieces from reclaimed materials such as timber and metal. Like his work, Piet has converted an old Philips Factory into not only his studio and office but also a shop emporium gallery, restaurant, event room, atelier for designers and most importantly his factory. This place is a must if you are visiting the area.
