In the Making is a small exhibition curated by the designers behind the Olympic torch Barber Osgerby. The exhibition, located on the top floor of the design museum, showcased a range of every day object which had been frozen in time part way through manufacture. The selection of products included a mixture of everyday object alongside some of Barber and Osgerby own work such as the £2 coin and Tip-Ton chair. Conceptually we love the premise of this kind of exhibition as it shows the true meaning of design and the reality of the stories behind bringing objects and ideas to life. If we could make one change, it would be to provide much more space and expand the concept into a permanent but ever-evolving exhibition.
